Whether learning your favourite songs to play along to, or studying for a nationally recognised qualification, lessons are tailored to suit individual needs.
Member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors, which allows SQA/Ofqual, accredited graded courses/exams to be taken, provided and regulated by the London College of Music. (see www.RGT.org or LCM website for further information). Initial stage to Grade 8 level is available. I also observe and teach Trinity and Rockschool Grade Syllabus' with many students which offer the same level of qualifications, but a different syllabus for as much scope in diverstity in contemporary exams as possible.
UCAS points are avialble from all 3 examination houses from grades 6 to 8 to aid in higher education, even if applying for a non music orientated course at University or College.
I have a 100% pass rate for the hundreds of students who have taken graded exams.
Tab/standard notation reading, rhythm, improvisation, fingerstyle as well as guitar technique and music theory are taught, as well as most contemporary musical styles from jazz/blues to rock/pop.
Help with composition/arrangement can also be provided if interested in songwriting, or help with High School/Further education syllabus.
